Smith and Wesson SWBLOP3R Black Ops 3 M.A.G.I.C. Assist Liner Lock Folder with Red Handle and Drop Point Blade

Best Blade

This is the best S&W blade I have ever owned. I wished that Blade Shop carried one that was 40% serrated, as I was not a fan of straight blades, until now. That has all changed once I received this bad boy. This is everything you could ever want in a tactical folder. The trigger mechanism for opening the blade is flawless, the blade flings out of the handle at an amazing speed, and the safety lock is one of the best I have ever seen. When it is locked, there is no amount of force that is going to close the blade unless you are closing it of your own accord.

I may be buying another one of these in the near future. I may even buy the whole set.

Solid knife, sharp blade

This was my very first pocket knife, so as you might expect my experience is rather low. I bought this because at my job i need to cut a lot of twine and labels off of boxes, and scissors were crap and box cutters were increasingly hard to find.

The knife has a solid feel to it with all metal construction. It’s not heavy, so you won’t notice it in your pocket, and it is thin enough to keep in a back pocket and not really notice it when you sit down.

The blade is very sharp, right out of the box, so you likely won’t have to sharpen it for a while. I currently have about 2 months of light use, no signs of damage or dulling. The assisted opening mechanism is quite strong, and the blade swings out with a bit of force, and it has a satisfying click into place. Closing the blade is manual, the spring only works one-way. The blade does not wiggle at all, and is held on tightly at its pivot point. The pocket clip is also rather strong, so it won’t come off…

Solid knife for a good price.

My son has used it for about 6 months now and it’s a great knife. The easy open button is nice. Works great.
