Masslinn.


It’s a wonderful thing. I have worked at over a dozen nuclear power plants and at government nuclear facilities for over 30 years. If they have anything in common, it is masslinn. Masslinn is used as a wipe to test for contamination, as well as a method to remove contamination. This is my job and I generally walk around with a piece of masslinn folded up in my back pocket. My bad luck, sometimes I forget to take the masslinn out and it finds it way home with me.

Masslinn is essentially an oil impregnated dust cloth. When used it picks up dust and leaves a slight shiny oil film.


What I use it for:

1) This is great for the inside of your car. It removes the dust and leaves a shiny dash board, seats, etc.

2) I use this as a general dust cloth for small items, such as my displayed chess pieces. I simply pick up each piece and roll it around in my hand.

3) I use it on furniture when I don’t feel like polishing.
