A couple of drawbacks. 1. The (female) screw holes are not metal. Therefore, you screw into the "wood" product. In time, the screws will strip out. 2. The seats come with no screws or fasteners. Therefore, you must take the seat to the hardware store to determine the dimension of the screw required, since you can’t use the bolt from the original seat which screwed into metal. We also used washers to diminish the possibility of the screw working it’s way out of the wood hole. The overall quality seems to be satisfactory (for the $20 investment). The key will be to see how long it takes for the seams to split.

All appearance

These seats are nice to look at but not so nice to sit on. They are above avearage quality in regards to material and workmanship. When it comes to comfort someone forgot to do some testing. Hard as a rock, cannot be more than an inch of foam. Seller did handle returns very promptly.

great bar stools for a great price

We were looking to replace our bar stool tops, and it looked like it was going to be an expensive effort. These stool tops were a third of the price of other stools and are just great. Our original stools tops were a 13" diameter, and the 14" works was all that was available but they work just fine on our stools. These stool tops are more firm (not quite as soft of cushion) than our previous stool tops, but that is fine. Perhaps the cushion will hold up longer. I am very happy with the purchase. The stools now look like new.
