Great stool for guitar
I started learning acoustic guitar this year. For a few months, I played sitting on the edge of the bed, or the couch, etc. I bought this stool and I don’t play sitting anywhere else now. It’s very comfortable, and I think my playing improved once I started using it. Could be my imagination, but I swear it’s easier to play sitting on a stool like this one. This is a great buy. Sturdy construction and looks good, not too heavy.

Bought two of these for practicing and playing my guitar. Very comfortable and the quality apeers to be first rate. Would highly recommend. Very stable.
Not comfortable – and that’s not 3″ of foam!
These stools look great but are not very comfortable at all. The seat part looks like a nice thick pad of foam, but it’s actually mostly wood, and there is only about 1/2″ of foam on the top. The worst part is the fact that the edge of the “cushion” is not really padded; the foam stops short of the edge, and the hard part comes all the way up. This makes it very uncomfortable for playing guitar for any length of time; you get a nice hard seat edge digging into the back of your thigh. ouch.
I wanted to love these, and I bought two for my little studio – but now they’re going on Craigslist this weekend. Could not be more disappointed.
