Umm. I bought this July 9th for $26-ish. Not sure what happened but we’re looking at a 100% price increase. And there I was thinking Gold is a good investment.

My favorite paper towels

These are my new favorite paper towels because:

* They are plain white – no inky print designs on the paper towels

* “Select A Size” reduces waste, letting you better choose how much you need. For most needs, a single sheet is needed. Without “Select A Size”, you’d have to use a much larger sheet or try to “manually” tear a larger sheet not to waste any.

* The large (or should I say huge?) rolls are more convenient as they don’t have to be replaced so often

* You get twelve “huge” rolls – 6 packs of 2 rolls each

* Each roll has 17.8m^2 (192.5 ft^2) and 210 two-ply sheets

* Price is reasonable, especially with Subscribe & Save

* Amazon delivers right to your door – no bulky packs of paper towel rolls to transport

I’ll probably start buying these in place of the Costco Kirkland ones that use to be my favorite because these are “Select A Size” which is not available at Costco.

HUGE Select-a-Size Rolls Need Changing Less Often

These really are HUGE rolls! Two (2) rolls are equivalent to five (5) regular paper towel rolls. With the Bounty BIG select-a-size rolls that I often buy, two rolls are equivalent to about 2.5 regular rolls; with the Bounty GIANT select-a-size rolls, two rolls are equivalent to 3 regular rolls. Note that this listing is for a case of six (6) 2-roll packages of HUGE rolls.

These HUGE rolls are perfect for the person who always gets stuck changing the paper towels. They need changing a lot less often, and there are fewer empty cardboard cores to throw out.

One caveat: the label warns that a roll “fits most paper towel holders”. The problem with the fit isn’t the size of the cardboard inner roll, which went onto my towel holder rod quite easily. The problem is that a HUGE roll is about 6.5″ across the end. This means you need extra clearance between your towel holder rod and whatever your towel holder is mounted on, in order to be able to accommodate the…
