Doesn’t get product to stated temperature – bad condensation
It’s a decent machine for an at-home Christmas party once a year, but not good for much else. I don’t think it’s worth the money I paid for it. Here’s why:
I purchased it for drinking chocolate. Like any hot food, you need to make sure the product stays at the right temperature to be able to sit out all day (hence why it’s a heated dispenser). The problem is even when turned all the way up to the ‘stated’ 194 degrees the chocolate drink inside only gets around 150 degrees even when on all day long. This is considered the "danger zone" and means the product has gone bad in 2 hours at that temp. Even when I bring it up to 185 degrees on the stove first, within a few hours it’s back down around 150ish. The product needs to be able to come up to 185 degrees then sit at a constant 165.
The other problem is terrible condensation. It’s not suitable for drinking chocolate in my opinion due to the amount of water that drips back down into the product…
It is very well made, but just too big for home
I liked it, It was very well made
but it was just big for what I needed, If I ever have a huge party I would buy it again
