No more plastic flavored coffee…..
I love this product! I came down with Bells Palsy 2 years ago and never completely recovered. It’s left me with an inability to drink from a cup without drooling. It’s been frustrating so I’ve been using plastic straws. Coffee through a plastic straw is the worst. The absolute worst. I became tired of buying these little pieces of petroleum that were getting tossed into the landfill.
Recently I’ve bought four of these glass drinking straws – two large and two regular and I only wish I bought them sooner. They make beverages taste like they should and not like plastic! Plus I’ve often wondered about BPA in regular plastic drinking straws … is BPA in drinking straws? Who knows? Why risk it when this awesome product is available for a very fair price?
These straws are strong, sturdy, easy to clean, economical, good for the environment and recyclable … how can you go wrong? Just buy them – you will not be disappointed.
Excellent For Smoothies
Purchased these straws for drinking fresh smoothies. A word of caution for those who might purchase these in the future- go slow. It takes some getting used to at first and you could potentially knock your teeth or gums on the straw. And let me tell you when that happens you feel it! There is no give to these thick glass straws and there may even be some potential to do some actual harm to your teeth if you hit them hard enough. Just make sure you know where your straw is by holding it with your hand the first few times to guide it to your mouth. They are thick and it feels wierd like you are sucking from a tube, which I guess essentially you are. But it is a little funky feeling at first. I love the straws and dont even notice their thickness anymore. Guess what all this rambling means is I highly recommend these for smoothies or whatever you desire to drink with them! Durable & solid these are not cheaply made. The “bendie” part is very subtle, I almost wonder if I…
Better than plastic
I got this for my husband who drinks his coffee and tea with a straw, and I didn’t like the idea of the plastic ones for hot liquids. He likes these, but said it took a little while to get used to because they have a larger diameter than he is used to using.
