Once you go glass, you’ll never go back
I purchased these for my mother. I noticed at my last visit that she was using plastic straws in her frozen Margs. My daughter got me hooked on straws a couple of years ago so I bought a set of 4 (12mm bends) for us to share. She got 2 and I got 2. (She “stole” a 3rd from me so I am down to 1 12mm straw, ha ha). We both love our Dharma straws so I thought I would introduce them to my mom as a birthday gift. She couldnt be more pleased!
I opted for the 9.5 mm size. The 12mm are fine – it’s a straw and works like a straw – but it took a little getting used to. They are quite a bit larger than the straws most of us get in restaurants. These straws mirror the standard plastic straw most of use are used to. Also, I would like to say that despite the fact that these are glass, they aren’t terribly fragile so don’t let the glass put you off. I’ve banged mine around plenty, even dropped one on my tile floor, and there was no damage whatsoever.

I am a straw addict, but was feeling guilty for all the plastic I was using and discarding everyday. Bought stainless steel straws – did not like. Received these glass straws as a gift. I love them. Good for hot and cold. You can see what you’re drinking (unlike stainless steel), and you can see when they are clean. Some don’t like the little brush to clean the straws, but that’s not a problem you just have to insert in one end then the other. Buy them – you won’t be disappointed.

I finally purchased glass straws after getting over the idea that they would be fragile and break. Not so. I have even dropped one and it’s still intact. I had used the straight ones at a friends, but decided to get the bent ones. They are perfect. I flip them to fit the various size cups.
