Excellent knife
Very solidly built. Excellent materials. Nice gripping handle (rubberized). Very sharp straight & serrated edges; easy to sharpen after use. Thumb opener nodule (on both sides of blade) has a very solid & even action from close to fully open (same action throughout movement). Very nice stainless clip on opposite side of knife (approximately 2″ (will attach to a military boot, boot top, or leather belt; it’s a nice clip). Knife is very solidly locked in open position. Lock release is located on back side of case to prevent accidental unlocking. Estimated 1/8″ hole at end of case (in orange area) for cord lanyard. Orange & gray color is a BG trademark color scheme no doubt, but it’s also a great choice for outdoor use for a number of reasons (orange to prevent loss, and the majority of the knife gray to prevent a bizarre USCG-like orange appearance. Not that there’s anything wrong with orange, but sometimes enough is enough.

Great product and well made
This knife is up to the higher standards I expect from Gerber. The only complaint I have is the nearly impossible single handed opening ability. This seems to be a problem for most folding knife makers especially if you are left handed as am I. Left or right handed doesn’t matter on this knife because it is a true ambidextrous design unlike many who make that claim.
It is just not at all easy to open with one hand. This is the reason I typically buy spring assisted models. If gerber made spring assisted I would be their first in line to buy. You can’t beat the quality for the price.
